Students in Santa Cruz City Schools benefit from a broad array of programs designed to support and challenge our learners. From Pre-K to Math Academy, Life Lab to Advanced Placement Physics, our schools offer a diverse and demanding curriculum. District programs include Achievement via Individual Determination (AVID), comprehensive AP/Honors course offerings at each high school, hands-on career/technical training , Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) services, the Humanties Academy of Soquel High School, Life Lab science programs at every elementary school, the Math Academy of Santa Cruz High School, Preschool and Pre-K programs serving children from 18 months to 5 years old,  Spanish language instruction in our elementary, middle and high schools and a Two Way Immersion program.
